Née le 19 juin 1972 à Chicago, Illinois (Etats-Unis)<br><br>Après avoir étudié à la <i>"Chicago Academy for the Performing Arts"</i>, Robin Tunney s'envole vers Hollywood. Elle débute sur le petit écran dans le téléfilm <i>Frog</i> (1987), rôle qu'elle reprend quatre ans plus tard dans sa suite (<i>Frogs!</i>, 1991). Elle rend ensuite visite à <a target='_blank' href='http://www.allocine.fr/series/ficheserie_gen_cserie=569.html' title="Corky, un adolescent pas comme les autres">Corky, un adolescent pas comme les autres</a> (1991) et <i>Perry Mason</i> (1992) avant de rejoindre la <i>Promo 96</i> (1993), série qui ne dépasse pas sa première saison sur la Fox. Autre série même destin quelques semaines plus tard, dans <i>Cutter</i> (1993).<br /><br />Robin Tunney se fait remarquer en 1995 pour son interprétation d'une jeune fille suicidaire dans la comédie dramatique <a target='_blank' href='http://www.allocine.fr/film/fichefilm_gen_cfilm=28288.html' title="Empire Records">Empire Records</a>. Récompensée pour sa performance dans <a target='_blank' href='http://www.allocine.fr/film/fichefilm_gen_cfilm=39835.html' title="Niagara, Niagara">Niagara, Niagara</a> (1997), l'actrice partage ensuite l'affiche de <a target='_blank' href='http://www.allocine.fr/film/fichefilm_gen_cfilm=34269.html' title="Julian Po">Julian Po</a> (1997) avec <a target='_blank' href='http://www.allocine.fr/personne/fichepersonne_gen_cpersonne=13604.html' title="Christian Slater">Christian Slater</a>. <br /><br />Sous la protection rapprochée d'<a target='_blank' href='http://www.allocine.fr/personne/fichepersonne_gen_cpersonne=1067.html' title="Arnold Schwarzenegger">Arnold Schwarzenegger</a>, Robin Tunney causera <a target='_blank' href='http://www.allocine.fr/film/fichefilm_gen_cfilm=21819.html' title="La Fin des temps">La Fin des temps</a> (1999) si Satan réussit à l'enfanter. Suivent le vertigineux <a target='_blank' href='http://www.allocine.fr/film/fichefilm_gen_cfilm=27551.html' title="Vertical Limit">Vertical Limit</a> (2000), puis un premier rôle dans la comédie dramatique <a target='_blank' href='http://www.allocine.fr/film/fichefilm_gen_cfilm=45901.html' title="Cherish">Cherish</a> (2002). En 2005, elle est confrontée au dangereux tueur en série <a target='_blank' href='http://www.allocine.fr/film/fichefilm_gen_cfilm=110692.html' title="The Zodiac">The Zodiac</a>, qui a réellement terrorisé les États-Unis dans les années 60-70, sans jamais être démasqué.<br /><br />Sa riche carrière cinématographique n'empêche pas l'actrice de jouer aussi à la télévision. Après un rôle de <i>guest-star</i> dans le pilote du <a target='_blank' href='http://www.allocine.fr/series/ficheserie_gen_cserie=238.html' title="Dr House">Dr House</a> (2004), elle s'établit en 2005 dans <a target='_blank' href='http://www.allocine.fr/series/ficheserie_gen_cserie=451.html' title="Prison Break">Prison Break</a> pour reprendre l'enquête qui a injustement envoyé son ex petit ami (<a target='_blank' href='http://www.allocine.fr/personne/fichepersonne_gen_cpersonne=81833.html' title="Dominic Purcell">Dominic Purcell</a>) dans le couloir de la mort.
